About The Client

Astute is a tax accounting and business advisory firm in Pleasanton, CA. Offering a unique set of services like Revenue Recognition, R&D Tax Credit, and Royalty Audit, the client wanted to establish a distinct brand positioning and a leads funnel to grow their B2B client base.

Challenges

1. No Clear Differentiator:
The client was running into the danger of being labeled as “another accounting firm” with no clear differentiation from its competitors. They needed realignment of the core messaging and a new digital marketing strategy to achieve consistency across channels.

2. Lack of Lead Management:
Without a responsive website and a CRM tool, there were no past records of leads and no system to track “leads to conversion.” The data was stored in an Excel sheet and not updated regularly, making it old and outdated.

Solution

1. A Single CRM:
We brought in Zoho One, a marketing automation platform. We set up the process to collect leads from different website forms, assign tags, and segment them based on their lead cycle. We nurtured the lead data and built marketing campaigns based on the insights collected.

2. Unified Brand Messaging:
We worked with the client to redesign Astute’s company brochure, capability statement and pitch decks. The goal was to unify the brand message across multiple touch-points.

3. Built Thought Leadership:
We developed a content marketing strategy, dispersed through blogs, white papers, and social media posts that have established their thought leadership in the industry. We continue to organize virtual events and town hall sessions to provide a platform for Astute to help businesses with financial advice during the pandemic.
